Towards the middle of the XV th century, the pottery's work was produced on the banks of a river ....

In our workshop, clay comes from the edges of the Yser : a river that has its source in the Houtland, North France area, and flows through Belgium into the North sea at Nieuwpoort.

The clay of flanders is a geological layer also called Yprésienne (tertiary), the stratum reaches 80m thick at certain points.

you can see, at our shop, a regional clay fossils collection kindly lent to us by Cedric BUISINE Cédric and Roland Fiquet . .
