Stoneware pottery of the Middle Ages at the end of the XIVth

The sandstone is a silica clay , this technique is used only when the oven is heated to a higher temperature (around 1300 ° C), usually obtained with coal.

This firing requires oven of different conceptions.

In the late Middle Ages, coal,was exploited on the surface in very limited deposits from the XIVth century
