Towards
the middle of the XV th century, the pottery's work was produced on
the banks of a river ....
In our workshop, clay comes from the edges of the Yser : a river that has its
source in the Houtland, North France area, and flows through Belgium
into the North sea at Nieuwpoort.
The clay of flanders is a geological layer also called Yprésienne (tertiary),
the stratum reaches 80m thick at certain points.
you can see, at our shop, a regional clay fossils collection kindly lent to
us by Mr. BUISINE Cédric .
